April is no stranger to style, having established herself as one of Washington, D.C.’s most sought-after stylists before transitioning into interior design.  Her career as a stylist included serving as the Resident Stylist at the Capella Hotel in Georgetown, garnered acclaim and gracing the front page of the Wall Street Journal and receiving features in Forbes and USA Today.  Her fashion expertise was honed through training with Dior, and she founded MyDCStyle in 2010, showcasing her unique vision and aesthetic.  Known for her impeccable and distinctive taste, April’s keen eye for fashion and her creative expertise translated effortlessly into Interior Design.

Prior to interior design, April was one of DC’s most sought-after Fashion Stylists.  Given her eye for great style, April’s transition from fashion to interior design was seamless.  Known for her impeccable and distinctive taste, April Yvonne (Jones) is one of the most sought after stylists in D.C.  April has graced the front page of the Wall Street Journal and was the Resident Stylist for the boutique hotel, Capella Georgetown. April has been featured in Forbes and USA Today and on fashion segments for NBC4 Washington and “Let’s Talk Live” News Channel 8. She has worked as a Stylist for Dior and as a Fashion Correspondent for The Georgetown Dish.  April is also the Founder of MyDCStyle, which she Founded in 2010.

As a respected source and authority on all things fashion, April is responsible for styling a distinguished list of clientele and editorial shoots for DC Modern Luxury.  Known as a trusted curator of style, with an extensive knowledge of haute couture and contemporary design, April curated high demand fashion seminars called the Signature Style Series.  Partnering with designers and luxury stores, April conducted sold-out fashion events inside intimate spaces of luxe venues such as the Capella Georgetown, The W Hotel or 5-star Georgetown restaurant, Citronelle, allowing her following to experience first-hand her inherent passion and devotion to fashion.

Prior to diving full-time in to the world of fashion and interior design, April had an accomplished career in Counterterrorism holding prestigious positions at the Department of State and private consulting firms.  During her tenure with the Intelligence Community, April never deviated from her love of fashion and style and booked styling appointments and seminars after work hours.  She also self-studied the fashion industry by covering Fashion Weeks in New York and interviewing her favorite designers backstage; visiting showrooms; and blogging her style observations while on world travels.

April’s fashion career took off when she launched her fashion seminars in 2011.  Partnering with designers and luxury stores, April conducted sold-out fashion events inside DC’s hottest venues allowing her following to experience first-hand her inherent passion and devotion to fashion while learning the latest trends in fashion and how to incorporate them in to their lifestyles.  Clients have included  Dior, Calypso St. Barth, Saks Fifth Avenue,  “Fashion Star” Finalist Nikki Poulos, Elie Tahari, Intermix, Capella Georgetown, The W Hotel, Citronelle, and The Latham Hotel, to name a few.

April is passionate about combining her love of fashion with philanthropic causes near and dear to her heart.  She has served as Co-Chair for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital annual Heart of Fashion, having been a committee and Founding member and since 2009 and spearheaded the event’s transition from an in-store luncheon to DC’s first ever outdoor full runway show at CityCenter in 2019 featuring CH Caroline Herrara.  As an avid animal lover, April has been a supporter of the Washington Humane Society having participated as a top fundraising model in their annual Fashion for Paws Runway Show.  April resides in Washington, D.C., with her two children Sophia and David, and their beloved dog Aspen Belle.
